There is much to be said for simplicity. It is today’s simple moments that we will look back on another day and remember as “the way things used to be.” I am thrilled that this brave mama and her not-so-little kids realized the importance of capturing a time in their lives that is characterized by walking down a trail to a dock on a lake, making jokes with each other, sharing wildflowers, and laughing at their friendly pup. We say that being together is more important than having fun, but it often turns out that being together is fun. And if we’re fortunate, we realize that all along. Simply.
