The most beautiful thing about living in Georgia is autumn. Well, it’s really the people, but autumn seems to bring out the best in us. You see, the oppressive summer heat has vanished, and everyone, even the trees, become more cheerful. We tend to smile a little bit bigger, linger a little longer together, and hug each other when we meet. Nothing is stopping us from soaking in the fresh air, and the afternoon breeze promises a cool evening just right for a toasty fire. That is why fall was the perfect time to photograph Mallory. Like the Georgia fall, she is is bold and beautiful. She is not oppressed or inhibited by much of anything. She is comfortable in her skin. And she glows. If ever I get to be seventeen again, I will do it just like this.
