When my parents were high school sweethearts, my dad was the yearbook photographer. Naturally, my mom was one of his favorite photography subjects, which resulted in a pretty spectacular series of lifestyle portraits that highlight my mom’s happy, adventurous, silly teenage colors. Those images influence my portrait photography work, especially graduation portraits.
Emily’s senior session took us on a leisurely stroll through downtown and Burlington’s Waterfront Park. My favorite images were from a roll of film I almost didn’t shoot in the last light after a breezy sunset at the beach.
