A Real Chattahoochee Riverfront Wedding, as seen on Snippet & Ink.
This wedding is one of my favorites of all time… Not because of the bride’s impeccable style or the beautiful color palette she chose, not because of the brilliant moss covering that she and her florist designed together to compliment the industrial modern setting of the beautiful mill ruins on the banks of the Chattahoochee, not even because of the perfect Georgia spring weather that smiled on us this day… I love this wedding because of something you may or may not even be able to see in the photographs.
This bride and groom are some of the most genuine and lovely people I know. The details on their wedding day were important to them, but they didn’t (and never will) trump the love that the couple shares and the love that surrounds them. This wedding day was grand and thoughtfully orchestrated, but none of the glorious styling overpowered Sarah and Matt. The bride and groom didn’t want to see any of the set-up until it was time for the wedding and reception to begin, and throughout the day I kept seeing them stop just to take in the sights and be present in the celebration. Sarah thanked her parents at every turn for providing such a beautiful affair in her honor. The couple and their families were fully committed to celebrating their love and the meaning of marriage. What a graceful testament to love!
Sarah and Matt are both attractive people, but it is clear that they actually glow when they are together. In their set of wedding photos, I wanted to create something representative of their attitude. I want their children to see these wedding photos one day and be reminded what a blessing they have in the their family. This is why I have chosen to spend my life photograph weddings, and I am ever thankful for precious couples like Sarah and Matt who remind me of the importance of my work. I am humbled that they trust me and oh so honored to help create the art that will serve as the basis for their family history together.
