Autumn Sun | Family Portraits

Fall is probably my favorite time of year. At least it was when I was growing up in Georgia. I can remember that relieved excitement that came with the first cool days in October, my parents’ football tailgate parties, and the nights that were cool enough to make a fire and have s’mores. Now that I am an adult living in Vermont, I still appreciate autumn weather, but I am more impressed by the breathtaking foliage than the sweet treats. I do savor the last few summer farmers’ markets, though, knowing what weather the coming months may bring. What are your favorite parts of fall?

Fall family portraits are special too. The nostalgia of starting a new school year lingers, and the new school clothes are still fresh and bright. The sunset light sweeps across the southern sky before dinner time rolls around, and the leaves… Ah, the leaves. Let’s play in them, shall we?
