One of my very favorite things in life is an adventure with my husband. Some of our most cherished memories involve crazy travel situations and spontaneous, out-of-the-ordinary outings. There is something exciting about seeing a new place for the first time as a couple; it seems that our bond grows deeper and stronger with each shared experience. That’s one of the many reasons why I love marriage… So while my family photography is all about finding beauty in the present and preserving the ordinary, familiar moments, I like for my engagement sessions to be as adventurous as possible! That is why I especially love when my couples invite me on a trip to take their engagement photos. Something about new and exciting places matches perfectly the excitement of beginning a new life as husband and wife.
I was honored that Josh and Claire invited me on their fall getaway to Arizona! We explored Sedona at sunset and then watched the sunrise at Pinnacle Peak near Phoenix the next day. This couple is so sweet and genuinely in love. They are full of laughter and eskimo kisses, and their eyes really do sparkle when they look at each other. They’re seriously an inspiration and I can’t wait until their wedding in the spring!
Update: Their wedding was just as sweet. See the photos HERE.
